An idyllic Georgian manor house that’s been hosting weddings for 25 years, Davenport House recently underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2017 to restore its original features whilst also infusing it with luxury interior design. Approached via a romantic sweeping driveway, the venue has a lovely flow to it right from when you step in the door and move from the ceremony to the drinks reception, to the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. As an exclusive hire, family run wedding venue, you’ll be really well looked after here as you enjoy all that the house has to offer. They are able to have 40 guests stay overnight across their 9 luxurious bedrooms and have 5 cottages within the grounds.

2. Stockton House

An elegant, award-winning wedding venue surrounded on all sides by views of rolling hills, ancient trees and beautiful gardens, Stockton House has been a family home for over 300 years. Located within 8,500 acres of countryside on the Apley Estate, it is steeped in history and this can be felt throughout all the spaces. Enjoy welcome drinks in the main Reception Hall surrounded by large oil paintings and antique furniture, followed by a ceremony for up to 100 guests in their Secret Walled Garden. The wedding breakfast then follows in their lovely dining space, complete with stylishly curved ceilings and orangery style windows that overlook the gardens.

3. Rowton Castle

Nestled within the charming Shropshire countryside, Rowton Castle is a grade II listed, exclusive use wedding venue that feels elegant yet relaxed. With varying spaces to host both cosy and intimate weddings to large and lavish, they have an abundance of areas to choose from. Say your vows in their Cardeston Suite filled with gothic character, ornate, architectural features and lots of natural light, or in the grounds of the castle by their Linden Belvedere Roman style structure. 4. Weston Park

A stunning stately home located within 1,000 acres of sweeping Capability Brown parkland, Weston Park was originally built as a family home back in the 17th century, bringing a warm yet grand feeling to the space. Filled with lots of well-loved art and antiques collected over 300 years, this is a space that needs minimal dressing and really shines on its own. Their Victorian Orangery has an abundance of natural light, views across the formal grounds and pretty parkland and is perfect for the ceremony or wedding breakfast. Complete with a glazed roof and soft stonework, it feels like a really special and romantic space to host up to 100 of your guests. Their Dining Room is opulent yet cosy, filled with antique paintings and lovely architecture and their Music Room is also a pretty spot, perfect for more intimate weddings up to 80 guests. The venue also has 27 bedrooms available, along with 5 holiday cottages in the grounds too.

5. Garthmyl Hall

Surrounded by beautiful woodland and on the border of both Wales and Shropshire, Garthmyl Hall is a grand Georgian house that celebrates style and individuality. They have a variety of rooms available for both your ceremony and reception, hosting just one wedding per weekend, so the space will be exclusively yours. Very recently renovated in 2023, the pretty Moat Hall Barns is a lovingly restored Grade II listed farm complex that feels perfectly made for weddings. Set within its own private courtyard, you can exclusively hire the space for 3 days either at the weekend or midweek and it can host up to 120 of your guests. Say your vows by the lake at their waterside Gazebo framed by views of the rolling hills or within their intimate Hayloft space. For your reception, their 18th century Top Barn is an architecturally stunning spot, with tall vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams and original red brick walls.

Recognised by The Wedding Industry Awards as The Best Barn Wedding Venue in the West Midlands 2024, Burlton Manor is a lovely mix of original character and contemporary and sophisticated interior design. With the ability to host up to 300 guests, the space consists of a Ceremony Room, separate Signing Room and Main Hall, complete with solid oak beams, hand crafted oak doors, exposed brick and elegant chandeliers.
