Megan and Alex’s Charming ‘Home Away From Home’ Wedding at Chateau Redon
Hosted at the charming, verdant Chateau Redon which beautifully mixes old and new, Megan and Alex’s wedding was equal parts fun, relaxed and pretty, and the perfect ‘home away from home’ style wedding. From the bridal party indulging in a splash in the pool before the wedding to stocking up on well loved snacks like Lays, Cheetos and Tuc Biscuits, it feels like a really special amped up version of a wonderful family holiday.
When it came to getting ready, the bride and her bridesmaids snacked on salmon blinis, baguettes and croissants whilst sipping on Laurent Perrier Rosé champagne, with both the bride and groom spending some time working on their vows too. The bridesmaids wore beautiful white chiffon one sleeved midi dresses, whilst the bride wore a lovely lacy V neck plunge gown, with delicate appliqué flowers dotted all over. She finished off the look with Jimmy Choo metallic heels and a good spritz of Byredo Rose Noir perfume. The Mother of the Bride looked beautiful alongside the rest of the bridal party in an embellished Needle and Thread dress.
The couple chose to host their ceremony within the woodlands of the wedding venue, with lovely dappled light shining through the trees as they walked down the aisle to a song by Freya Ridings. To continue the dried flower theme, meadow style arrangements lined the aisle in neutral and whimsical tones, featuring pampas grass and roses too.
For the cocktail reception, guests sipped on ice cold beers and Pimm’s whilst a band played, bringing their British background to this slice of France, before moving onto dinner against the backdrop of the beautiful chateau. Surrounded by amazing and wholesome views as far as the eye could see, the set up looked so chic yet laidback, with simple white stationery, menus and placecards accompanied by gold cutlery.
After plenty of heartwarming speeches and an intimate dinner with their nearest and dearest, they enjoyed lots of dancing fuelled by delicious pizza from a pop up van.
