A destination that is becoming increasingly popular for weddings, Croatia is filled to the brim with stunning seaside views, historical buildings, castles and fortress, along with plenty of pretty hidden gardens and caves. Just a two and a half hour flight from both the UK and Ireland, it’s also a really accessible destination wedding option too, and we especially love the fact that civil ceremonies can take place in almost any location here. Typically the best months to get married in Croatia are June, September and October, when the temperatures are warm but not too baking hot.

Located in the Southern slopes of the Marjan forest in Split, the lovely Villa Dalmacija occupies a beautiful spot that has been enjoyed by both Winston Churchill and Indira Ghandhi in its time. Surrounded by large grounds and walls, the venue provides lots of privacy and seclusion, meaning you can party with your loved ones until 3am. 2. Brown Beach House 

Perched on the bay of the historical town of Trogir, Brown Beach House is an elegant wedding venue choice, with stylish minimalist interiors that still feel wonderfully warm. Located just 5 km from Split airport, the venue can host up to 100 guests and is also home to 42 rooms and suites, for all your guests to stay in. The venue is well loved by wedding planners for its exclusive feel, that enables couples to have small intimate weddings whilst still being on the beach and close to the town. 3. Beach Club Hvar 

Bringing all the Mediterranean vibes, the well loved Beach Club Hvar provides one of the most luxurious beach front terraces in the area. Host your ceremony by the sea, followed by a cocktail reception in their classic lounge area surrounded by palms and pine trees. Follow this up with dinner by the water with up to 250 of your guests, taking in the beautiful sunset and Pakleni Islands in the distance. Dating back to 1927 and labelled as one of the hottest beach clubs in Europe, this spot has real retro heritage and luxury, perfect for any couple who loves an old school party. 4. Hotel Palace Elisabeth 

Tucked away in the heart of Hvar Town, this 5 star venue is the oldest hotel on Hvar Island dating back to the 13th century, with stunning views of the main town square. Host up to 80 of your guests for a full wedding weekend, with a reception on their main terrace that features unrestricted views of the harbour, followed by a party until 3am within their Red Salon. 5. Hotel Neptun Dubrovnik 

This venue is all about its stunning and enviable spot in Dubrovnik, with views over Babin Kuk, Lapped Bay and the Elaphite Islands. With access to its own pretty Blue Flag beach along the crystal clear Adriatic Sea close to the old town of Provence, it has an abundance of spaces within which to host your wedding day. 6. Mestrovic Gallery Terrace 

The former home of a famous Croatian sculptor and architect and his family, this stunning building is filled with history and unique ancient Rome style architecture. Located to the south of Split, it has lovely scenic views of the Mediterranean gardens and sea views across to the Dalmatian islands. With the ability host between 50-150 guests, you can hold your ceremony on the grass in front of the gallery, under the arch or on the terrace, followed by a delicious dinner on the terrace too.

7. Restaurant Terrace Park Hvar 

A beautiful spot for a more intimate wedding, the Restaurant Terrace Park in Hvar brings the elegance of an old historic hotel whilst retaining all the charm of the Mediterranean. Tucked away from the bustle of Hvar, the venue is a lovely oasis where you can host both your ceremony and your reception on their terrace or in the Central Park Club. It can be partially hired or exclusive hire, depending on your number of guests.

8. Franciscan Monastery Ceremony Venue Hvar 

A pretty spot to host your wedding ceremony, this 15th century monastery is just a 10 minute walk from Hvar Main Square, making it a really wonderful venue to follow up with a reception in the main town. Set within gardens overlooking the sea and home to a 300 year old cypress tree, it is suitable location for Catholic ceremonies within the monastery and symbolic or official ceremonies within the church garden and courtyard.

9. Palace Natali Dubrovnik 

A breathtaking wedding venue nestled within the city but far enough away from all the busyness, Palace Natali is a gorgeous oasis for intimate weddings of up to 50 guests. A previous residence of a noble family, it has lovely sea views, a large swimming pool and plenty of space for your guests to stay.
