Nicolle and Jordan’s Incredibly Pretty Floral Wedding at The Griffin House in Oregon
Taking place at the breathtakingly beautiful Griffin House in Columbia River Gorge in Oregon, everything about this wedding is incredibly pretty. With the rolling hills, mountains and 80 mile long river as their backdrop, Nicolle and Jordan layered this with lots of beautiful floral touches, with plenty of sentimental touches throughout. The bride wore a stunning deep plunge Galia Lahav dress covered in twinkling lace with chiffon puff sleeves, accompanied by bridesmaids in different soft pastel shades, creating a chic and laidback effect. Clutching a whimsical bouquet of sorbet hued florals, Nicolle made her way down the aisle surrounded by woodlands and meadow style floral arrangements that lined the pathway. Meeting Jordan at the end in a cool, beige double breasted suit that felt formal yet relaxed, the couple shared an intimate ceremony with their nearest and dearest looking out across the romantic river gorge.
From fun floral sofas to intricately decorated tables covered in pretty table cloths, coloured glass and detailed and sentimental stationery, their wedding reception just felt heavenly. They left no stone unturned when it came to details, from an impressive table plan crafted using vintage cabinets and dressers, to a retro telephone for an audio guestbook and delicate fabric banners, you’re in for a real treat with this wedding.

HOW WE MET
“My husband and I met freshman year in college! We were friends all throughout college but didn’t start dating until after we graduated. He liked me a lot back then, but I wasn’t quite ready for a relationship yet! But I always knew there was something special between us. I went through a lot of difficulty in college and even though we were just friends, my husband was always there for me. We started dating after college and have been together ever since! It’s been 7 years this year. After a few years of dating we moved in together while living in LA, but after a year there we decided to spontaneously move up to Seattle (we’re both from California born and raised) in 2020 to explore a new city and fell in love with it. We had designed the ring together before we moved to Seattle so I knew that he would propose at some point in 2021 but he hid it really well. The day he proposed we had planned to go to our favourite park to take photos for my business. I said to him that day in the kitchen “if you’re proposing today you’re doing an AMAZING job at hiding it” little did I know he was laughing inside at that and was absolutely about to propose! We went to this park and I didn’t see any photographers there so I just figured we really were about to shoot for my business. He shot photos of me and I kept thinking it was going to happen then it didn't. Eventually he had me walk into a field next to this beautiful blooming tree and when I turned around he no longer had his camera on him and came to grab my hands. He told me that he wanted to give me my world back and asked me to marry him! Then our photographer who we’d worked with before jumped out of the bushes and we had a surprise engagement photoshoot right after it happened. Sydney our photographer is based in CA so I thought there was no way he’d get her to come but he did and it was the most special experience. The day was so perfect and funnily enough we’ve gone back to the spot every year on the date and the trees are NEVER as blossoming and beautiful as they were that day.”
UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS
“I will never forget walking down the aisle and seeing my husband for the first time and ALL our friends and family there, the view, the arch, all of it was really overwhelming in the best way. I was SO present for our ceremony which was really special. We had my husband’s brother Evan officiate us and I had him do a small intention setting meditation to start the ceremony. Feeling everyone send us love in this meditation as we started the ceremony was so special and then to look at the most beautiful view, the perfect weather, the eagle flying above us AND my soon to be husband was an experience I will never forget. Another moment I’ll never forget is that we planned to do a private last dance once everyone went out of the tent for our send off and little did I know that for the past 3 months my husband had been writing and producing a love song to play for me as our last song. This was a huge surprise, the song started playing and it was such a surreal experience to have our last dance to a song that he wrote and sang about our love. I was in shock and it was such a special, thoughtful and unforgettable moment for just the two of us.”
THE DRESS
“I always knew I wanted to wear Galia Lahav on my wedding day. We were trying on so many beautiful dresses and I loved parts of all of them but I still didn’t have that feeling yet. I work as an intuitive so I know I needed to trust my intuition! At the very end of my appointment, the woman helping us said wait a minute there’s one more dress we just got in that I think you need to try on. She ran to get it and I remember seeing it on the hanger and thinking wow that is stunning. I remember so vividly, as I was stepping into the dress in the dressing room I told the girl “I think this is the one” before I even had it all the way on, I just got that giddy feeling and then as soon as I put it on I knew. It was everything I was looking for and more. I wanted something timeless yet unique, vintage inspired, ethereal (the wings were so special) and form fitting and my dress checked all the boxes. I worked with the team to make custom sleeves which I wore for the first half of the reception and they really completed the look.
Putting the dress on the morning of the wedding was the BEST feeling. I think it’s super common to second guess things around your wedding because you’re making SO many decisions but the day of the wedding I remember seeing my dress hanging there and just being in AWE of how beautiful it was. I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world when I put it on, everyone was stunned by how beautiful it was and all the details on it. It just felt RIGHT. Like the dress was made for me. I felt so confident and happy!”
LITTLE DETAILS
“My husband and I are both very creative and artistic people, so we really enjoyed adding creative small details to the day. For example, we are both into angel numbers so all of the table numbers were our favorite angel numbers with their meaning to us on the back, we also wrote everyone personalized notes which felt very intentional and special and just all the design / paper goods we really loved creating. We were very involved in every detail which made it SO fun to see how it all came together on the day of.”
SPECIAL MOMENTS
“There were so many special moments and surprises at our wedding. One of the surprises was that my husband gifted me a pack of letters that he wrote every month leading up to the wedding on the 22nd, during his speech at the reception. We read the letters together on our honeymoon and that was just such a special gift to be given midway through the day. Something unique that we loved is we partnered with Olipop which is our favorite drink, to do a custom Olipop cart that we brought out during the reception. This was such a fun way to incorporate our favorite drink into our wedding and the guests loved it! My husband’s sister surprised us by writing and performing a song for us as her speech on the wedding day and it was such a special moment, the entire wedding was in tears.”
ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES
“I’m a meditation teacher so I was really adament on being grounded, meditating and just being in a good energetic state the morning of the wedding. I think my advice to future brides would be to prioritize yourself on your wedding day and take time to ground, center and breathe. The day can be sooooo chaotic and busy with everyone getting ready and your nerves, so it’s okay if you need to sneak away and take a few moments to breathe. I did this and it was honestly such a smooth and calm morning, I felt so at peace and present the whole day because I prioritized my well-being and inner peace. Also to let go of the little things. At the end of the day, everything will be incredible even if there’s some hiccups. No one knows what it “should” have looked like or what “should” have happened so just let it all go and focus on what matters, which is you and your partner celebrating your love and commitment.”
