As one of Italy’s most famous resort towns, Sorrento is a beautiful spot perched high above the Mediterrean, with prominent and panoramic sea views that extend from the island of Procida across the Gulf of Naples to Mount Vesuvius. Since 1912, the pretty Villa Zagara has become renowned for its warm welcome and impeccable hospitality, that has been passed down from generation to generation. Owned by the Acampora-Apreda family, the Villa is surrounded beautiful gardens filled with a large variety of plants, flowers and green spaces to explore. Considered by many as the ‘Green Lung’ of Sorrento, their gardens include an orchard, rose garden, citrus garden, vegetable garden and one that is entirely dedicated to ancient plants. The grounds also include a staircase from the XVIth century and an olympic sized swimming pool that used to be one of the nymphaeums made by the ancient Roman Agrippa. 2. Villa Antiche Mura

Surrounded by ancient citrus groves, Villa Antiche Mura has stunning panoramic views that take in the full gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius in the background, which can be enjoyed from their lovely terraces. Originally owned as a private family home, the villa opened its doors to the public in 2003, newly updated with elegant interiors and ready to host weddings and events. The venue’s elegant lobby can host up to 100 guests, in addition to their outdoor terraces of 400 square metres overlooking in the bay. 3. Villa Astor

Perched overlooking the bay of Naples, the impressive Villa Astor rises sheer above the sea on a cliff, giving it a wonderful vantage point. It has a long history that dates back to the 1st century AD, when it was originally owned by Agrippa Postumus, the grandson of Emperor Augustus. Since then it’s celebrity has only continued to grow, being purchased by one of the richest businessmen at the time, Lord William Waldorf Astor in 1905, with the villa becoming his passion project. Thereafter it was acquired by another wealthy family who opened its doors to many famous guests including Princess Margaret, Gregory Peck and Sofia Loren to name just a few. Located in the green hills rising above Sorrento, the relaxed Castore Eventi has amazing views of the Isle of Capri, the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. 5. Grand Hotel Vesuvio

Located more centrally within Sorrento town, the Grand Hotel Vesuvio benefits from both beautiful views of the bay of Naples and a buzzy town atmosphere. They have a number of carefully curated event spaces that can host up to a huge 700 guests, but can equally be tailored to more small and intimate weddings.
